“You have
no conception of what your best effort is, So you must continually strive to do
better today than you were able to do yesterday. If you make a concerted effort
every day, your best effort will grow in ever-increasing circles. .” Ann

“Experts
generally agree that taking all opportunities to read books and other material
aloud to children is the best preparation for their learning to read. The
pleasures of being read to are far more likely to strengthen a child’s desire

“My
passions, comes from wanting to make a difference. I am not here to save the world. It may just mean, helping
one child to be successful in the classroom. That one little sparkle will make
a difference for me for the whole day.”
I liked the quote from Raymond Hernadez as well. I think desiring to make a difference goes a long way, and I think parents and children can pick up on whether we are genuine or not in this regard!
ReplyDeleteI also like the quote you chose from Lilian Katz. This is a good reminder of the power of reading aloud to children!
